Nasya treatment is one of the important therapies of Panchakarma in Ayurveda, in which medicated oil, ghee, or herbal extracts are administered through the nostrils as per condition. The nose is considered the gateway to the head (Shiraso Dwaram), and hence Nasya directly influences the brain, sense organs, and nervous system. This therapy helps in clearing the channels of the head, improving oxygenation, nourishing the tissues, and balancing the doshas, especially Vata and Kapha in the head region. It is highly beneficial in conditions like sinusitis, migraine, frequent headaches, nasal congestion, hair fall, cervical stiffness, and certain neurological disorders. Apart from disease management, regular practice of Nasya is also said to improve memory, concentration, sleep quality, and enhance overall vitality.
